Invisible lead dust is a neurotoxin and, with time, will damage your brain. One of the essential ways to keep yourself safe is to wear gloves when cleaning Lead-Safe. When you have finished cleaning, it's extremely important to wash your hands.
Preparing for a Dust Wipe Inspection:
After your Lead Paint Detectives Visual Inspection, you will receive a Maintenance Report describing what needs to be addressed. Once the items on the Maintenance Report are addressed... it's time to clean and prepare for the Dust Wipe Inspection. For the Dust Wipe Inspection
- The floors must be clean
- All working windows must be open and ready for testing at the start of the Dust Wipe Inspection.
- Window sills and window troughs must be clean.
